Kaikohe Gliding Club are our neighbours, approximately an hour away by road, and 25 nautical miles to the north west the Gibbs Road airstrip.  A friendly rivalry exists between the Clubs, and there is a "Come and Get It" Trophy, which Kaikohe Club  currently hold.  But not for long!
