This family includes many of the Ashbourne and Cromford Froggatt's, and could be descended from John Froggatt's family, of the 1500's from Mayfield. This family is descended from William Froggatt of the latter 1500's from Baslow, who is possibly the patriarch of many South Yorkshire Froggatt Families.
